(DC) Senator approves Senator John V. Tunney's move to increase amount working couple can earn and still get tax deduction for day care for child. Couple may make up to $18,000 per year for cut. Senator defeats move by Senator Adlai E. Stevenson III to increase personal exemption level. Senator approves Senator Ernest F. Hollings amendment to allow tax credit of up to $325 to offset cost of higher education. No votes final; all changes must go to House
