(Studio) Alabama Governor George Wallace to appear at Democratic national convention in effort to promote acceptance of his minority platform.
REPORTER: Harry Reasoner
(Miami, Florida) [WALLACE - says present platform has many items which would not be accepted by many Americans Says he's still in race and calls on recently released delegates to support him.] Wallace meets with Democrat govs. to marshal forces for platform fight. Says he wants to support Democrats but that can happen only if there are significant changes in platform, especially on issues of busing and defense [Wallace shown taking cruise.]
