(Studio) Former Treasury Secretary John Connally, a Democrat in Republican circles, meets with President Nixon in San Clemente, California, to confer about his world tour on econ. policy.

(San Clemente, California) [CONNALLY - agrees more with Nixon than McGovern on issues. Says he has no ambitions for Republican Vice President spot; however, refuses to close any doors.] If Wallace launches 3rd party campaign, it would enhance Connally's chances at being selected as Nixon's running mate.
