(Studio) At Democratic national convention, establishment politicians suffered sharp setback, particularly in case of Chicago, Illinois, Mayor Richard Daley. He and members of contested delegation were voted out of convention Daley announces endorsement of Democrat ticket despite blow to his power.

(Studio) Senator George McGovern, Democratic President nominee, thanks Daley for endorsement. Calls Chicago Mayor from vacation lodge in South Dakota.
