(Studio) Federal narcotics law enforcers report to President Nixon.
REPORTER: Howard K. Smith

(White House) Arrests for narcotics have doubled, as have seizures of heroin. Cabinet level study, however, says flow of narcotics in S.E. Asia cannot be stemmed because of official corruption. [President aide Egil "Bud" KROGH - says problem in S.E. Asia is not as acute as suggested, progress being made.] Refuted report was ordered by White House and include representative of Depts. State, Defense, and CIA.
