(DC) Nixon and Steenhoven discuss invitation of China (People's Republic), ping-pong team to visit US; Nixon agrees United States Govt. should be involved in visit as little as possible. [STEENHOVEN - says told:Nixon about Premier Chou En-Lai; expects Nixon to meet with Chinese players, if they want to meet him.] White House doesn't deny Nixon upset by Vice President Agnew's statements, questioning new China (People's Republic) policy; some believe Nixon orchestrated Agnew's statements to appease conservatives.
