(Studio) President Nixon set no date for complete United States withdrawal from Vietnam in speech last night; today Senator Hugh Scott and Senator Robert Byrd believe, if North Vietnam releases United States POWs, all United States troops will be out of Vietnam by end of present President term, January 1973.

(DC) [SCOTT - says Nixon has definite period of time in mind for having all United States troops out of Vietnam.] [BYRD - says Nixon didn't state definite date, but have impression Nixon has date in mind.] Many believe Scott and Byrd saying for Nixon what he felt he shouldn't say himself in speech last night.
