(Studio) Lockheed board chairperson testifies before Senate committee concerning approval of $250 million company loan.
REPORTER: Walter Cronkite

(DC) Lockheed board chairperson Dan J. Haughton denies company mismanagement. [HAUGHTON - says would resign if necessary for approval of loan; having all board members resig would cause customers to leave, making loan worthless; says if program conts., $1.4 billion invested will be made back; otherwise money lost.] Lockheed needs Congress to approve loan within next 30-40 days.
