(Studio) Labor Department reports cost of living up .6% for June.

(DC) Sharp increase primarily due to grocery cost increases [Labor Secretary James D. HODGSON - says, while price increase not good, 1/2 year cost of living figure best since last 1/2 of 1967.] [Federal Reserve System chairperson Arthur F. BURNS - says neither prices nor wage increases provide evidence of moderation.] [Senator Jacob K. JAVITS - asks if Burns disagrees with those believing administration economy policies working.] [BURNS - believes little progress made; inflation continuing at dangerous rate.]
