(DC) McGovern charges President Thieu's government engineered attack on him at Saigon church last week [McGOVERN - says South Vietnam full of war weary Vietnam, demoralized GIs; 20 GIs killed per week unacceptable; believes President Nixon's trip to People's Republic of China, will result in news photos of Nixon with ping pong paddle.] McGovern says draft evaders, conscientious objectors should be granted amnesty after Vietnam war.
