(Studio) Republican national convention holds long afternoon session.

(Miami Beach, Florida) Urban states (Illinois, New York, Michigan, etc.) want to reward states that elect candidates other then President by increasing their delegation to 1976. Rules committee rejects proposal. Floor fight ensues. Urban state move defeated. Convention approves party platform with 1 minor addition: Bureau of Indian Affairs requested to find more jobs for Indians.
