(DC) Americans getting fatter. [White House Conf. on Food and Health representative Jean MAYER - says sex appeal rather than health main worry of fat people.] Mayer tells Senator Gaylord Nelson antifat pills ineffective and dangerous. Dr. J. Tepperman of State University of New York says ads in medical journals push M.D.'s into prescribing pills instead of will power. [TEPPERMAN - says food ads cause people to overeat.]
