(Brookin, ME) E.B. White, writer, sets out to prove it's stupid to send mail 100 miles out of way. [Postmaster Celia LAUGHLIN - says post office doing its best.] Russ Wiggins, friend of White, owns newspaper and makes jabs at mail frequently. [WHITE - says it's inefficient to have mail go 100 miles out of way.]
