(Studio) In election campaign, administration eased up on news media attacks. Now tactics changed. Clay Whitehead, top White House official for broadcasting, says legislature drafted to make local stations responsible, under threat of license revocation, for content of network news and entertainment broadcasts.

(Indianapolis, IN) [WHITEHEAD - says local stations can no longer accept network standards. Says local broadcasters must censor national news editorials if they are irresponsible.] NBC calls proposed legislature government interference. Accuses administration of trying to drive wedge between networks and stations. CBS and ABC had no immediate comment.
