(Studio) General Accounting Office reports possible violations in handling of $350,000 in contributions to president Nixon's reelection campaign. Former Secretary Commerce Maurice Stans, Presidential campaign financial chairperson, calls General Accounting Office report hasty and inaccurate. Demands similar audit of Senator George McGovern's campaign funds. McGovern says he would welcome a General Accounting Office investigation, having nothing to hide. Says he has received $1.8 million in campaign contributions via direct nail campaign.
