(DC) Mrs. Judy Silver Shapiro tries to get to Russia, but Sovs. won't give her a visa. She is married under Jewish law, and American law by proxy, but cannot enter Russia for marriage there. [SHAPIRO - discusses visit to Russian embassy. Notes $12,000 ransom on her husband's head, $20,000 over in-laws because they are Jews. Cites reluctance of McGovern or Nixon to comment on Soviet treatment of Jews.]
