(DC) [Senator Robert GRIFFIN - pleased Nixon offered better ad. opportunities for disadvantaged in inner cities, and that he ordered Justice Department to intervene in some pending cases.] [Senator Strom Thurmond - says Nixon's plan is good but doesn't go far enough. Calls for Constitution amendment.] [Senator Edward BROOKE - says plan will be throwback to separate but equal.]
