(South Vietnam) United States firebases, usually named after battalion cmdrs. wives, girl-friends, or weapons, aren't being built much in South Vietnam anymore. [Lieutenant Colonel Stan TYSON - former history teacher, dubs his firebase "Bunker Hill", says this may be last firebase built by United States in South Vietnam.] [E/4 James STAPLES - E/5 Joseph BAX - unimpressed with symbolism. To them, its just another firebase.]
