(Studio) With Muskie's withdrawal, Humphrey and McGovern woo his supporters.

(Toledo, Ohio) [Senator George MCGOVERN - hopes to persuade those who have supported Muskie, to join McGovern campaign.]

(Akron, Ohio) [Senator Hubert HUMPHREY - says both he and Muskie representative progressive center at Democratic party; says Muskie's withdrawal should help him.] In effort to classify McGovern as left wing, Humphrey notes Rennie Davis, Jerry Rpubin, and Abbie Hoffman support McGovern.

(NYC) Muskie's mistakes analyzed. He entered too many primaries, had no strong issue, relied on big-name endorsements and orgs. (Ohio) [Ohio Governor John GILLIGAN - says Muskie was badly served by his own organization Says campaign-was too diffuse.] (DC) [Senator Thomas EAGLETON - says Muskie needed a good campaign manager (as Robert Kennedy served brother John). (Studio) Muskie's money also dried out. (California) [Jesse UNRUH - says money bags control politics. Calls for end to such maneuvering. Says such contributions representative investments, and are only available for winners. (NYC) Iowa party chairperson switches allegiance to McGovern. Missouri governor now uncommitted. Many stick with Muskie. (Los Angeles, California) At Muskie headquarters in California, workers pack up and move out. Ros Wyman, wife of Humphrey fund-raiser, wants to rent headquarters for Humphrey.
