(Studio) Alabama Governor George Wallace recovers from multiple gunshot wounds.

(Silver Spring, MD) Wallace eats 1st food, sits in chair, issues statement to people of Alabama. President Nixon visits Wallace. [NIXON - says Wallace is alert, has strong will to continue.] (DC) Nixon moves on to Walter Reed Army Hospital to visit wounded Secret Serviceman Nick Zarvos. [NIXON - says he told Zarvos, in presence of chief White House security agent Robert Taylor, Zarvos can have assignment of his choosing, perhaps Key Biscayne, Florida, or San Clemente, California.]
