(Studio) Fighting reported on South Vietnam's 3 main fronts, as well as in Mekong Delta. N. of Hue, Communist forces again try to break through South Vietnam defense line.
REPORTER: Roger Mudd

(Hue area village ) District town 25 mile North of Hue set afire by enemy shells. South Vietnam Marines knock down shops and dwellings to salvage materials, but flames spread. Citizens flee. Marine reinforcements head for outposts defending Hue. [Major Robert SHERIDAN - says Viet Cong force with 118 tanks attempted to come through South Vietnam Marines again; 12 tanks destroyed.] Enemy had crossed My Chanh River Machine gun from North Vietnam tank featured.
