(Studio) United States may end 5-wk. boycott of Paris Peace Talks. American Ambassador to Talks, William Porter, returns to Paris from DC. Says Nixon wants negotiated settlement. State Department says Porter's optimism is based on reports that North Vietnam negotiator Xuan Thuy also is returning to Paris with new instructions. White House officials think United States bombing in North Vietnam and South Vietnam stability forced North Vietnam reassessment of policy.
