(Studio) Senator George McGovern wins block of delegates to Democratic Convention Democratic platform and credentials committees meet.

(DC) Washington, DC Representative Walter Fauntroy assembles bloc of 96 previously uncommitted black delegates to support McGovern. [MCGOVERN - says new strength assures 1st ballot nomination at Democrat convention.] Aides find duplications; say McGovern is 17 delegates short of needed 1509. [Humphrey aide Arnold PINKNEY - says telephone survey shows several black delegates still uncommitted.] [N.O.W., Gloria STEINEM - disappointed with many McGovern stands on women.] Women angered at McGovern for not sponsoring woman co-chairperson (with Lawrence O'Brien) at convention
