(Studio) AFL-CIO suspended Colorado labor council for McGovern endorsement after Meany had declared union neutral on election. Meany's representative goes to Denver.

(Denver, Colorado) McGovern picture on wall of Colorado labor council Council refuses Meany-ordered trusteeship; claims strong official, rank and file support. [Colorado lbr. council Herrick ROTH - says Meany isolated from union; not being neutral in campaign; favors Nixon.] Daniel Healy, regional director AFL-CIO from Chicago, Illinois, visits Colorado cncl., orders Roth to shut office down as per Meany directive. [HEALY - says discussion amicable, though Roth rejected order. Court fight predicted.] Court said probably not final step. AFL-CIO internal differences over election said deep; reflecting more basic differences, to be healed only by Meany retirement.
