(Studio) Charles Kuralt visits control tower operator in Mariposa, California.
REPORTER: Roger Mudd

(Mariposa, California) Alma Marie Lanigan runs control tower from living room of home beside Mariposa runway. Exs. of unusual tower personality reviewed. Alma questioned about radio. [Mrs. LANIGAN - says she leaves radio on all night, but sleeping not disturbed.] Alma Marie asked if she helps pilots in trouble. [Mrs. LANIGAN - recalls last instance of bringing pilot down safely. Explains job.] Alma Marie is friend to all pilots and they all love her.
