(Studio) Alabama Governor George Wallace returns to duties after checkup at rehabilitation center in Birmingham. Recovering from assassination attempt in Maryland last May. Paralyzed from waist down, but is determined to adjust or recover.

(Montgomery, Alabama) Wallace endures physical therapy exercises. [WALLACE - discusses government expenditures.] He is active, involved, and in command of situation. [WALLACE - says he will continue to be active in politics.] Wallace campaign headquarters still in operation. It is $200,000 in debt. He can make or break Democrat or Republican candidates with a word.
