(Studio) Venezuela to use oil as political weapon according to new President Carlos Andres Perez. Venezuela's mines minister says Venezuela considers withholding and selling oil on its own to industry nations.

(New York City) Venezuela supplies 1/3 United States oil imports. In news conference in Caracas, Perez promises not to reduce United States oil shipments during energy crisis, but criticizes Nixon's foreign policy in Latin American Tremendous poverty and wealth apparent in Venezuela.
