(Studio) Composer of "Home on the Range" still alive.
REPORTER: Walter Cronkite
(Dallas, Texas) David West Guion plays song as he intended it to be played. [GUION - says he wrote song at age 14; never studied theory or harmony.] Asked if copyright still held. [GUION - confirms.] Questioned about today's problems compared with song's tranquility. [GUION - doesn't know how to live in today's world. To be glad to leave topsy-turvy world soon.] Guion knew Judge Roy Bean and Buffalo Bill; now words of song outdated. Guion plays and sings song once more.
