(Studio) 5 Arab commandos with submachine guns break into Israeli team qtrs., kill 2 athletes and hold 9 others hostage at Olympic games. Arabs take Israelis via underground passage to helicopter pad, fly to unknown destination (reported to be Tunisia).

(Munich, West Germany) Moshe Weinberg, Israeli wrestling team coach, killed by Arabs. Arabs demand release of 200 Arab guerrillas being held in Israel. Israeli P. Min. Golda Meir meets with other leaders West German Chancellor Willy Brandt takes part in negotiations. German border troops surround qtrs. where Arabs hold Israelis.

(Munich, West Germany) Arab terrorists are from same Black September group which attempted to hijack Sabena airliner at Tel Aviv airport in May, and which took credit for Tel Aviv airport massacre.

(Munich, West Germany) Arabs, dressed like athletes, with blackened faces, jumped fence around Olympic Village to gain entry to Israeli qtrs. at 5:00 a.m. Police and border guards, disguised as athletes, surround qtrs. [Israeli television commentator Dan SHICON - says he received telephone call at 6:00 a.m. from head of Israeli team about general situation. Thinks Arabs looked around and checked security before acting. Says several athletes escaped by jumping through windows.]

Jewish competitors given special guards at Olympics, include American Mark Spitz, who leaves for London, England.
