(Studio) Senator passes legislature for elderly.
REPORTER: Walter Cronkite
(DC) Bill passed almost identical to one vetoed by Nixon last session. Bill sponsor Senator Thomas Eagleton says bill's benefits reduced to conciliate Nixon. Bill designed to improve delivery of existing services to elderly. Bill would also increase number senior service centers and give more for medical research on aging. 40,000-60,000 jobs could be created by bill.
