(Studio) L. Pat. Gray's nomination as FBI chief in serious trouble.

(DC) White House refuses to allow White House attorney John Dean to testify at Gray hearings, and instructs Gray to refuse to allow Senator members to see FBI files on its Watergate investigation. Gray now hesitant to answer large variety of questions. Senators Hart and Bayh protest Gray's new secretiveness. [Senator Lowell WEICKER - says White House fears Gray's independence in Watergate investigation.]
