(Studio) President domestic advisor John Ehrlichman appears at White House briefing. Puts Nixon adamantly in opposition to Congress on several points.

(DC) Ehrlichman Nixon's chief spokesperson against legislature for job training, assistance for elderly and more veteran benefits. [EHRLICHMAN - says if bills pass must be 9% tax increase.] Ehrlichman also talks about Watergate case. Explains why White House attorney John Dean present during FBI interview with Ehrlichman. [EHRLICHMAN - says felt more comfortable with Dean present.] Ehrlichman says allegations of White House involvement with Watergate bugging mere hearsay.
