(Estral Beach, Michigan) Waters from Lake Erie, blown by high winds, destroy much shore line property. 20,000 evacuated from area. [Carolyne BOETTNER - says will salvage what she can and move elsewhere.]
REPORTER: Ike Pappas
(Las Animas County, Colorado) Ranchers lose thousands cattle in Colorado; 90% spring calves dead because of snows. [Rancher William DOHERTY - says has lost 1/3 herd. Remaining cattle weak with pneumonia and snows continue. Has never seen such severe winter.]
