(Studio) Los Angeles, California, reporter William Farr freed after 46 days in jail on contempt charges for failure to reveal sources in story during Chas. Manson murder trial.
REPORTER: Howard K. Smith

(Los Angeles, California) [FARR - says worst part of being in jail was not knowing when he would be released.] Justice Douglas' order for Farr's release remains in effect only until all appeals exhausted. If they fail, Farr could return to jail indefinitely.
