(West Virginia) More than million acres Appalachians have been strip mined. Process ruins land. Miners say they now reclaim mined land. Environmentalists say it's impossible to reclaim strip mined areas. [Strip miner Tracy HYLTON - says energy crisis will get much worse if strip mining not allowed.] [Strip mine opponent Joan YOUNG - says strip mining process irreversible.] Strip miners want to begin looking for coal in West next.
