(Studio) Senator approves nomination Fred. Dent as Commerce Secretary and Claude Brinegar as Trans. Secretary Hearings begin on nomination Peter Brennan.

(Capitol Hill) [Labor Secretary designate BRENNAN - says if disagrees with admin. on important issues would have to resign post. Assures Senator Kennedy he will do his best with regard to minority groups in labor. Says Martin Durkin, labor man in Eisenhower administration, wasn't accepted by cabinet because was a plumber. Says he intends to be equal with other cabinet mbrs.] Brennan expected to be confirmed.
