REPORTER: Roger Mudd

(On the road) The Arttrain brings great art to Midwest for people to see, many for 1st time. Movie, slide shows, artists fill train. Local artists have music, theater and dance when Arttrain rolls into town. National endowment for art furnishing part of money and railroad carrying Arttrain for one year free. Most joy in towns seeing Arttrain 1st time is children's faces. Joy, wonder, excitement in all kids' faces. Watching Catherine Thurber and cousin's faces in Moscow, Iowa, proves children's feelings throughout Midwest.
