(Paris, Fr.) North Vietnam appears anxious to reach negotiated settlement. Ambassador William Sullivan attends technical talks on Vietnam settlement. [SULLIVAN - says another meeting to be held tomorrow.]

(White House) Henry Kissinger and Nixon talk about resumption of peace talks. Sources say Moscow impressed with Nixon's determination in face of widespread criticism, and that Moscow convinced Hanoi to ask for renewed talks, which Hanoi did over Christmas wkend. Washington, DC sources expect final settlement by February
