(Studio) Governor Arizona facing recall.
REPORTER: Howard K. Smith

(Phoenix, Arizona) Recall committee claims 140,000 signatures. Governor Jack Williams may have to run again if signatures validated. Williams refused to veto farm labor bill that would make food boycotts illegal. Cesar Chavez comes to Arizona to fight measure. Goes on hunger strike and hospitalized. (TV commercial produced by Governor Williams accuses Chavez of forcing farm workers to join his farm workers union.) Recall committee composed of youth and liberals. Jerry Pollock is their candidate for governor [POLLOCK - says Chavez workers helping in recall campaign.] Odds are against recall of gov.
