(Studio) William Colby has Senator confirmation hearings as CIA director, succeeding Schlesinger.
REPORTER: Roger Mudd
(Capitol Hill) Colby appears before Senator Armed Services Committee and Senator Stuart Symington. Colby promises to keep CIA out of domestic intelligence. When asked if CIA would give information to other agencies Colby had answer. [COLBY - responds he can't say definitely he won't help other agencies by giving them info., but it won't be used for illegal, unconst. purposes.] Colby promises more open CIA for future.
