(San Diego, California) Parents and Ted Patrick's deprogramming team pray Kathy will denounce Love Israel's commune beliefs. [KATHY - rebukes family and deprogrammers. Believes in Jesus Christ; not connected with Satan.] [PATRICK - insists Kathy's been deceived and has served Satan.] Patrick carries out deprogramming at home. Patrick family background related. [PATRICK - resorts to emotional attacks against Kathy.] [Mother, Henrietta CRAMPTON - insists Kathy's attitudes about life completely changed, Angry words exchanged.] [ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) lawyer Mike PANCER - sympathizes with parents because communication with children lost. Parents' legal alternative to children in religious cults is to visit them and reestablish communication.] Deprogrammer conts. with young Christian religious group. Reporters talk with Kathy. [KATHY - says only bonded couples in religious cult may have sex. Kathy unbonded; no sexual intercourse. Love Israel has as much power over individual as each gives to him. Kathy turned life over to Love Israel.] Patrick demands interview with reporters stop. [KATHY - questions reporter about legal action she can take.] Tense moments pass between Patrick, reporters and Kathy. [PATRICK - threatens violence.] After 107 deprogramming hrs., Kathy breaks. [Deprogrammer Ila MEESE - says evil spirits leave Kathy.] Patricks, Cramptons, deprogramming team confident of success. Seattle police, state and local California authorities allowed Crampton abduction to take place. [Lawyer PANCER - believes Kathy's const. rights violated by Patrick, his cohorts, and law officials.] [KATHY - reflects on deprogramming. Forgives parents and Patrick; faith in law enforcement shaken. Doesn't feel free although Love Israel out of her life. Some day, she may return to religious group in Seattle, WA.] Following day, Kathy escapes. Returns to Seattle, WA, and Love Israel. Film from religious commune shown.
