(Studio) Firefighters report forest fires under control in some west states; more new fires set by lightning in Montana and ID, however. At. least 10,000 men fight fires.

(Eldorado National Forest, California) [Firefighter Bill MITTIG - lives in Michigan and felt need as a forester to volunteer services. Fires destroy so many useful and beautiful things for man.] Firefighters work 12 hour shifts. Firefighting very dangerous.
