(Studio) Eric Sevareid analyzes President' news conference
REPORTER: Walter Cronkite

(Studio) President Nixon obviously bitter and tense during news conference and blames Congress for most of American's economic, foreign, and domestic problems. In news conf. President seems more angry at critics and press than those originally responsible for Watergate. President hopes to minimize Watergate in coming weeks and play up domestic affairs. Americans to judge President in the end, not press or high critics; only time will tell complete story.
