(Studio) Former President Richard Nixon undergoes surgery to stop blood clot from breaking off and going to his heart; Nixon in stable condition now.

(Long Beach, California) [Nixon's physician, Dr. John LUNGREN - says formation of new clot reason for surgery.] [Dr. Eldon HICKMAN - states President' postoperative condition normal. Discusses operation procedure.] Nixon's recovery period discussed.
