(Studio) Securities and Exchange Commission plans to go to court over bonds sold to POWs after their return home; most bonds worthless.
REPORTER: Walter Cronkite

(San Diego, California) On return home, prisoners of war David Carey given $80,000 check for back pay. Carey invested money, but now learns he bought nearly worthless bonds. Reputable brokerage house breaks bad news to Carey. [Lieutenant Commander CAREY - believes investment worth nothing.] At least 6 other POWs in city swindled.
