[Pentagon spokesperson William BEECHER - says Brown not anti-Semitic.] [Executive director Jewish war vets, Dr. Seymour WEISMAN - protests Brown's statement.] Senators William Proxmire, Jacob Javits react negatively to Brown's remarks.

(White House) News Secretary Ron Nessen says President hasn't discussed matter personally with Brown or Defense Secretary James Schlesinger. However, President Ford reacts to Brown's statements unfavorably.
