(Los Angeles, California) Questioned about Maurice Stans and John Mitchell's attempt to keep Securities and Exchange Commission off Vesco. [VESCO doesn't think Mitchell and Stans double-crossed him because campaign contribution was in no way to influence Securities and Exchange Commission probe,] Asked about his view of contribution. [VESCO - says he would have contributed to campaign regardless of Securities and Exchange Commission probe,] Asked about contrary testimonies at Stans Mitchell trial. [VESCO - thinks significant amt, of perjury goes on at trial.] Questioned about Edward and Don Nixon's role. [VESCO - doesn't know if Edward and Don, carry any weight with President] Questioned about Harry Sears' testimony involving Nixon brothers and Vesco, [VESCO - won't verify Sears' testimony.] Asked if Vesco ever used influential friends to help him in Securities and Exchange Commission case. [VESCO - insists he didn't.] Questioned about his refusal to give testimony in New York and help Mitchell and Stans. [VESCO - admits he feels guilty, but wife and children come lst.] Asked to comment on Mitchell's opinion of Vesco. VESCO - refuses to comment.]
