(Studio) House Judiciary Committee meeting to be held tonight.

(Capitol Hill) Most members of committee feel President' response to subpoena inadequate. Some senior Democrats hope to avoid bipartisan split on issue. [Representative John CONYERS - proposes to cite President for contempt for failure to honor House Judiciary Committee subpoena.] [Representative Robert KASTENMEIER - thinks contempt citation diversionary; President' strategy may involve dividing House Judiciary Committee] Committee Republicans caucus this afternoon. So far, bipartisan split hasn't occurred in committee 's impeachment probe.
