(Studio) United Nations Secretary General Kurt Waldheim travels to try and end Cyprus war.

(Dhekelia, Cyprus) Waldheim calls on leader of Greek-Cypriots, Glafkos Clerides. Greece says no more talks until Turks return to August 9 lines. Greek-Cypriots welcome Soviet idea of international conference on Cyprus. Waldheim meets with Turkish leader, Rauf Denktash. Turkey feels matter between Greece, Turkey, and Great Britain. [DENKTASH - says doesn't feel need for intl. conf.] Waldheim brings Clerides and Denktash together at UN barracks. Clerides depends on Greece for economy and political support. Denktash depends on Turkey for military strength.
