(Studio) Attorney General William Saxbe says state lotteries may violate federal gaming laws. 13 govs. to meet with him.
REPORTER: Bob Schieffer

(DC) Lotteries appear to be run honestly, but violate old laws re: tickets sent through mail or advertising by media that crosses state lines. [SAXBE - says states should ask Congress to change these laws if they're going to hold lotteries. Civil suits to determine illegality.] Saxbe to file suit in 6 weeks States to try and persuade major Congress to legalize gambling.
